Dancing Summer Camps And Workshops The At Dance Factory in Springfield

Hi, friends and families!

Summer classes start today at the Dance Factory in Springfield with ballet class from 6-7:30 with Susan. It is going to be a sweet summer of dancing! Camps and classes for preschool and elementary kids are filling up, so please let us know if you are interested in registering your child for summer dance! We have classes from preschoolers through adult this summer.

There is still space in Ashley's Boys' Dance workshop, so if you know of dancing young men, let us know! Ian Martel and Ashley are pumped to be welcoming more boys at the studio.

Preschool: Summer Dance Program (ages 3-5)
Introduction to Ballet, Creative
Movement, Jazz
4 weeks: Tuesdays - July 3, 10, 17, 24
Time: 9:30-10:15

Early Elementary: Summer Dance Program (students entering grades K-2) Introduction to Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Creative Movement
4 weeks: Tuesdays - July 3, 10, 17, 24
Time: 10:30 - 12:00

Fee: $65
Limit: 10 students - pre-registration is required

Elementary: Dance Camp (students entering grades 3-5)
Explorations of many dance styles: Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Improvisation, Latin, and choreography
July 30 - August 3 (5 days)
Time: 9 - 12

Fee: $95 ($25 deposit due by June 15 to hold your place)

Nutcracker Workshops August

"Fritz and Clara" for students entering grades 3-6
Two classes - $20

For students entering grade 7 and up. Highly recommended for all ballet students who hope to participate in Nutcracker 2012. Some pointe work.

Summer Programs & Ongoing Classes

Ongoing classes in Ballet and Jazz begin the week of June 11 and will continue throughout the summer, ending August 22.

These classes are intermediate level and above and are open to students entering grades 7 and up (or by permission).

Ballet: Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00 -7:30 (Susan)
June 11 - August 22 (19 classes)
No classes: July 4, July 9, July 10, July 11

Jazz: Tuesdays 6:00 - 7:30 (Susan)
June 12 - August 21 (10 classes)
No class: July 10

Fees for ongoing classes:
Any 10 classes - $125
Any 15 classes - $150
Unlimited classes - $180
Single class - $15

Additional workshops/classes: The following workshops will be offered depending on a minimum enrollment. Please enroll with Ashley or Susan. If you are unable to attend all 4 classes of a workshop you can make up classes in ongoing sessions of Ballet and/or Jazz.

Hip Hop: Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:00
Open to students entering grade 7 and up.
4 weeks - August 1, 8, 15, 22

Boys Class: Monday - Thursday, July 9-12 (4 sessions)
Boys class with Ashley and student teacher Ian Martel exploring, different movement styles such as modern, hip hop, and original choreography. Open to boys in grades 3-8 who love to move and are looking for a physical, high energy class!
