VTica Jazz Concert Series Presents The Scott Mullett Trio, June 2
The Vermont Institute Of Contemporary Arts will present the Scott Mullett Trio as part of its Jazz Concert Series on Saturday, June 2 at 8PM.
Scott, a virtuoso on the tenor saxophone, has worked with a number of world-class performers. He has toured with Artie Shaw, Mel Torme, Aretha Franklin, Woody Herman, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and Lionel Hampton.
He has performed at international venues such as the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Newport Jazz Festival, and the New Orleans Jazz and Blues Festival. Concert goers can expect to hear a wide variety of Jazz including Jazz Standards, Jazz Classics by Ellington and Strayhorn, and Bebop tunes by Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie - all played with a truly stunning and highly musical virtuosity. Joining Scott will be guitarist Draa Hobbs and bassist Wayne Roberts.
