Springfield's Wrestlers Rack Up Mat Time

Coach Floyd Buck, Jr. recently headed to Fair Haven, VT with the high school wrestlers for the annual Slater Dual Meet, while Coach Don Beebe took the junior high team to Milton, VT for a tournament. Every grappler showed improvement, strength, determination, and spirit - the high school team racked up eight wins against teams such as Mt Anthony (Bennington) and Burr & Burton (Manchester); junior high wrestlers brought home 2nd place (Ayden Smith) and 3rd place (Cole Wright) along with several other wins after a very long day of grappling.

The team plans to host a home dual meet on Wed, January 23rd at Park Street School beginning at 5:30 PM; the public is invited to attend, there is no admission fee. Come fill the bleachers upstairs in the gym, and enjoy some great gladiatorial action!
