Food for Fines to Benefit the Chester/Andover Family Center, February 11-23

posted Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Hey there, library folks! Were you a little late retuning library materials lately? Do you have some recent (or possibly lingering) overdue fines? Need to clean out your pantry? Do you want to help a great cause? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then do we ever have a deal for you!

The Whiting Library is announcing Food for Fines, a program to benefit the Chester/Andover Family Center. For every non-perishable (non-expired) donation you bring in to the library, we'll forgive one of your overdue fines. It's that simple!

Bring in your non-perishable donations to the Circulation Desk of the Whiting Library during our regular hours from February 11-23, 2013 to erase one of your overdue fines. All donated items will go to the Chester/Andover Family Center.

Library Hours:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 10am-6pm
Saturday: 10am-2pm

Small Print:

Donations must not be expired, damaged, opened or otherwise unfit for consumption/use.

One overdue fine will be forgiven per item donated. Fines imposed due to lost, damaged or destroyed library materials cannot be forgiven.

Fine forgiveness is for current fines only. Donations cannot be applied to future fines.
