This is a reminder about the upcoming Act 46 vote to create the Green Mountain Unified School District including the towns of Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish and Chester. For additional information there is a presentation Saturday, April 29 at 10 a.m. at Andover Town Hall, and another on Monday, 5/1 at 6:30 p.m. at Chester Town Hall. Please attend and please do vote. If you will be away Tuesday, absentee ballots are already available at your Town Clerk's office.

Beginning on Wednesday, May 10th, St. Luke's Episcopal Church program will
begin a new adult study entitled: "Painting the Stars: Science, Religion
and an Evolving Faith." This series is a part of the "Living the Questions" designed for contemporary Christians.

The Pansy Festival will be held at Singing River Farm in Rockingham on Saturday, May 6 from noon to 3 p.m. This free community celebration of spring will happen rain or shine because pansies love both. An Earth Day Teach-In will also be part of the festival this year.

It's time to activate spring and summer floral displays around Chester by supporting the planter campaign organized by Chester Townscape, a committee of tax-exempt Chester Community Alliance. Chester Townscape [CT] is once again soliciting contributions to purchase large containers that will be filled with soil and planted with flowers. These planters will be placed in key locations throughout the town to show that Chester is a thriving and welcoming place to visit, shop, and live.

three FREE community dinners. These are scheduled for Thursday evenings May
4th, June 1st, and July 6th at 5:30 PM. The meal will be simple, hardy, and
served in Willard Hall (entrance at the back yard of the Church). Please

What a way to cap the season for the third-sixth grade Springfield wrestlers! Trekking to Vergennes early Saturday morning, spirits were high and the determination levels were off the charts. Our boys did not disappoint! Excellent mat-work was displayed by every kid.

An incredible season for the Springfield Youth Wrestlers continues to roll on! While Mother Nature played a foul weather trick on April Fools Day, a crew of dedicated grapplers forged ahead to hit the mats in Fair Haven VT for some serious action.
