Celebrated Vermont beekeeper Ross Conrad of Dancing Bee Gardens will host an Organic Beekeeping Workshop on Saturday, March 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the NewsBank Conference Center, 352 Main Street, Chester, Vermont. The event is presented by The Nature Museum at Grafton.

Here's the Maple Fest Menu for St. Luke's Maple Fest Dinner on Saturday,
March 5 at 6 p.m., at 313 Main Street, Chester. All proceeds benefit PINS. Roast turkey breast with cranberry, bourbon and maple sauce, peas, patrician
potatoes, crucifer salad, baked beans and scones.

Energy crackled around the gym as junior high and high school students from around the state warmed up with each other or listened to music to get "in the zone" while waiting to hear their name be called. A full day of hard work by each of the Springfield wrestlers resulted in many arms raised in victory, and a sense of a job well done and challenges met.

Dr. David Lord, a psychologist with the Veterans Affairs Hospital in White River will speak at Chester Rotary on Thursday, March 3 at 5:30 PM at the Fullerton Inn on the subject of mental health conditions afflicting veterans. His talk will include a description of recent advances in the treatment of veteran's psychological problems.

The 8th Annual Maple Fest Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 6 p.m. in Willard Hall at St. Luke's Church. Everything on the menu has a "hint" of maple syrup as an ingredient. The guests will feast on roast turkey breast, cranberry sauce, peas, baked beans, crucifer salad, potatoes, and scones. A selection of either red or white wine will be available for those who wish to enjoy some with their dinner. A variety of desserts will be offered, all being touched by maple.

Wrestlers from around New England will fill the gymnasium at Riverside Middle School for the annual competitions hosted by the Springfield VT Wrestling Team. First up is the Schweitzer Memorial Tournament for grades K-8, with action kicking off about 9 AM. A small admission fee of just $3 per person is requested at the door; kids under 10 are free.
